Chapter
C1 - Environment for quality life in municipalities, cities and regionsC2 - Nature and landscape supporting resilienceC3 - Green and blue infrastructure of cities and municipalities of the futureC4 - Transport infrastructure and mobility adapted to people
Objective
C4-1 - Available transport infrastructure corresponding to needs, safe infrastructure for alternative drives and for the development of non-motorized transport in municipalities, cities and regions, with regard to reducing emissions and the impact on the climate.C4-2 - Targeted communication with local residents enables the adoption of an attractive mobility alternative with minimal environmental impact.C4-3 - Public space from the point of view of transport infrastructure and mobility is addressed in the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan.

Measure
  1. Introduction of a system of continuous monitoring of population mobility in the municipality, city and region based on the principle of Big Data.
  2. The proposal of a transport service model, in the context of a city of short distances, based on reducing the need for transport by ensuring a sustainable spatial distance between work and living, or services.
  3. Ensuring the infrastructure for P+R (Park and Ride) traffic at rest, solving the parking policy in connection with the reduction of emissions and noise, building a dense network of safe cycle paths and developing other infrastructure for active mobility (pedestrian and bicycle) and electromobility or hydrogen propulsion, including follow-up to public transport and B+R (Bike and Ride) systems. Favoring the use of electric cars and plug-in hybrids (e.g. free parking in blue zones).
  4. Solutions for logistics and transport of people and goods in municipalities, cities and regions, especially the so-called "last mile", with regard to environmental impact. The above-mentioned type of measures are mainly implemented within the framework of the Urban and Active Mobility Concept.
  5. Creation and adjustment of the regional transport network with regard to the needs of people and companies, equipping the transport infrastructure with the latest technologies for new types of mobility, health and safety protection and minimizing the impact on the environment.
  6. Ensuring sufficient interconnection of transport infrastructure and transport services at the regional level across the administrative borders of the regions.
  7. Support for public transport in the sense of improving its quality (e.g. passenger comfort, frequency of connections, limitation of transfers, attractiveness of terminals, etc.).
  8. Support for the development of elements of autonomous mobility.
  9. Smart Terminals & Stations and intelligent stops included in the Smart Cities concept.
